Northampton Powerchair Football Team provides an opportunity for powerchair users in Northamptonshire and neighbouring counties to take part in a competitive fun sport and be part of a team.
Powerchair Football is a sport that provides opportunities for people with a high level of physical impairment to access the game of football. It is the only active team participation sport for people who use powerchairs.
There are four players on each team at any one time and by using specialist Football Chairs which have a bumper at the front, players dribble and pass the large footballs scoring goals by knocking the ball between the posts. If you think you would like to have a go, please come and join us!
The game is designed for all ages (6 years plus), both men and women (girls & boys), during our sessions, we include some skills training, so you can get used to driving a different chair, fun activities and drills and usually finishing with a match! No experience is necessary and we have players of all abilities taking part.
It is a lovely social club too, where you can meet new people, families can share experiences and support one another whilst enjoying being part of a team and falling in love with this fantastic sport!

Montsaye Community Sports Centre Greening Road, Rothwell, NN14 6JA - Fortnightly on Sundays 10a.m. - 12p.m.
