Northampton Town FC Community Trust welcomes new EFL in the Community Programme to support any person on Probation* who is keen to embrace positive change, of any age, male or female, from minority ethnic backgrounds.
A weekly mentoring session with a dedicated mentor focussed on supporting Probationers ‘next step’ into a positive future.
The HMPPS funded Your Next Step Programme is an initiative aimed at supporting People on Probation from ethnically diverse communities. The programme presents an opportunity to work with a dedicated mentor to support an individual’s reintegration into the community, increased personal development, culminating in desistance from criminal activity and improved engagement with the probation service. Additional wraparound support is available including access to other CCO provision such as but not limited to, health and wellbeing programmes, employability support and community engagement initiatives.
EFL in the Community have been awarded HMPPS Probation Grants in six regions; Kent, Surrey and Sussex, South West, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England and Greater Manchester.
Eligibility:
Released from prison and have a Probation Officer
From an ethnically diverse background
Have not been convicted of a sexual offence or violence against children
Get help and support as you work out your next steps with support from the Your Next Step Mentoring programme, where you will have access to:
A dedicated mentor
Access to group mentoring sessions
Up to 26 weeks support
The programme will also include opportunities to access additional CCO community sessions in the following areas:
Resilience
Physical Activity
Health and Well being
Interpersonal Skills
Employability Skills
Community based activities
