Sustainability TAKEOVER day
Our sustainability takeover days cover a variety of topics to do with making the changes we can to help protect our planet. Listed below are the topics we cover and please note some may be for KS2 only. In order to build your sustainability day, when you enquire, simply tell us which topics you would like us to cover and we can tailor our delivery to your requests.
Features of the day:
1. Introduction to sustainability (KS1 and KS2)
A variety of activities that help to develop children’s understanding of what sustainability & climate change is. Activities will also help children rationalise and understand what they can do to help prevent climate change and the effect climate change has on the environment.
2. Food activities (KS1 and KS2)
Food activities will aim to help children understand how food production and the consumption of different foods affects the planet.
3. Travel activities (KS1 and KS2)
This topic will develop children’s understanding of the impact that different modes of transport can have on the environment and their health and well-being.
4. Waste activities (KS2)
This will help develop the children’s understanding of the impact that waste can have on the environment and the ways in which they can reduce their waste.
5. Water activities (KS2)
This workshop will provide children the opportunity to understand the impact that water can have on the environment and how we can save water .
6. Nature activities (KS1 and KS2)
Children will take part in this workshop to develop a full understanding and appreciation for nature and wildlife.
7. Reading and writing activities (KS2)
A comprehension based activity where children aim to read, understand and write about the environment. Writing a fact file about a country is an example of an activity in this workshop.
8. Green your school activities (KS1 and KS2)
This workshop aims to work with a whole class or green committee members to help pupils find solutions to make their school more sustainable.

£250 per whole day (discount is offered for three or more bookings).
