NTFC ‘World Book Day’ Takeover day
Our World Book Day takeover event has a real focus on engaging with children and young people to boost their confidence and interest level in reading. We provide a diverse day of delivery with a variety of practical and classroom-based workshops. With the aim of improving confidence in their reading ability and to understand how important reading is.

Creative activities including designing a book cover and characters

Students can discover what reading can do for them
Students can understand that reading can benefit their lifestyle not just their learning
Students can be creative and start to explore different types of genres
Students can also understand that reading isn’t just limited to books, there are many different platforms we can read from.
Activities:
Designing their own characters
Designing their very own book cover for that character
Premier League Primary Stars Terrific Teams challenge
Opportunity to discuss how books are turned into films, what do films take from books for example. .
Aimed at:
Whole school or year groups: divided into times for different classes.
Cost:
£250 per whole day (discount is offered for three or more bookings).
